Committees

These are the committees defined within Women Contractors Association. Click "View Members" to see a list of committee members.


Luncheon & Education Committee
	The Luncheon/Events committee is responsible for planning quarterly educational events and monthly networking luncheons for the association.

Governmental Affairs Committee
	The Governmental Affairs Committee is responsible for meeting with local and regional government officials to influence the formation and implementation of policies that will support and advance women in the construction industry. The committee will coordinate the exchange of information with government officials to execute disparity studies, analyze existing and proposed legislation and/or regulations to determine the impact on WCA members and provide recommendations to the WCA Board of Directors as to what position the association should take on such matters.

Membership Committee
	The Membership Committee develops and manages the associations membership recruitment and retention programs. This committee will be responsible for planning happy hour/member mixers for potential new members.

Fundraising Committee
	The fundraising committee will support our goal and efforts to raise annual corporate sponsorships for the association.

Outreach & Marketing Committee
	The Outreach & Marketing Committee will be responsible for building platform and processes that are self perpetuating for continuity. In order to achieve this goal the committee will review new website consistently to provide ongoing feedback as an idea source, coordinate newsletter topics and content and conduct outbound call campaigns in support of all WCA events.

Special Events Committee
	The Special Events Committee is responsible for planning our two biggest fundraisers throughout the year, Boots & Bling and the Holiday Hard Hats & Heels.

Student Chapter Committee
	The purpose of the Student Chapter is to provide mentorships between Student Chapter members and WCA women business owners.
